Pascal Volz Jr. of Men's Basketball Headed to Columbus State

COLUMBUS, GA – PJ Volz of LDC Prospect Program, has committed to continue his career at Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga.

In the 2023-2024 season, Volz Jr. played for the LDC Ignite (Prospect Academy) in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The highly efficient guard led the team in field goal percentage (49.0) and was second on the team with 14.7 points per game. Volz Jr. scored in double digits each game and set a career high scoring mark of 20 points, which he produced on three occasions this season. He notched three double-doubles and in the game against Clayton State University, he matched a career high with 20 points. Volz Jr. also attended the FIBA Preseason Tour with the GIE Cibao Immortals.  He played a total of 4 games in the Spanish Preseason.  

2022-2023: Started all 28 games for Dominican University...Averaged 13.5 points per game on 42.2 % shooting from the field and 34.8% from behind the arc...Scored a career-high 29 points to go with five rebounds in a 91-86 victory over Biola on December 17...Scored in double figures in 23 games during his freshman season.

Columbus State University Basketball is coached by Robert Moore. Coach Moore is coming off his 16th season with the Cougars. Since becoming head coach, Moore has taken Columbus State to the NCAA Division II Tournament on five different occasions. Overall, the Cougars have had a 240-167 record with Coach Moore at the helm. The Cougars are currently ranked 19th in the NCAA.  

The Cougars are currently 10-1 record (19th) in 2024-2025, and compete in the Peach Belt Conference. 

P.J. Volz is the 12th Prospect Program player to sign with a four-year program or moved on to FIBA.
